Dear Farris:

You asked that I check with Bob Morgan as to what
assistance you could expect from the Democratic Party in the
coming general election. Bob. as you know. is the Finance
Chairman of the State Democratic Committee and is leaving
this afternoon for Washington to discuss the financing of the
coming campaign.

He has told me that he will have a report to submit to

you at the Convention in California next week which will inform
you as follows:

1 Financial and other assistance available from the
State Committee .

Z Financial and other assistance available from each
County Committee.

3. Financial and other assistance available from the
National Committee .

ii there is anything further that you might want me to do,
please let me hear from you.
