Honorable c. tarr

Dear Mr. Bryant:

I appreciate your telegram in connection with my

telegram to you of past few days in which I indicated
my support of you. The telegram to you was solicited
by Edgar 6. Hamilton, West Palm Beach, a close friend.

Unfortunately, since the date upon which I sent to you
my telegram. I have had a further opportunity to
analyze the different philosophical approaches taken
by both you and Senator Carlton in this run-off primary
race.

Please be advised that on account of your firm stand
on segregation and Senator Carlton's moderate views
on segregation together with your apparent stringent
economy outlook I am forced hereby to_withgraw my
support o£_xour'idldacyad herewith submit my
support to your opponent. '

Many thanks for your kindness in sending me the
mentioned telegram and I hope that our divergent

political views will not unduly affect our personal
relations.

roars sincerely,

A.
