Hon. Farris Bryant
Fe 0. BOX
Ocala, Florida

Dear Farris:

The long delay in dropping you this note
of hearty congratulations certainly indicates no
lack of appreciation on the part of Mildred and
myself for your marvelous victory. I need not tell
you that we have both been anticipating this on
every possible occasion since 1950 when you and I
first became well acquainted.

The next four years for Florida will be a
very challenging period in its history, and since
we still call Florida our home, are very happy you
will be the one to lead the State on to even greater
achievements.

I was sorry that your hurried trip in and
out or Washington afforded no Opportunity for you
to visit. As Syd may have told you when you spent
the night with him at the Berkshire Apartments, we
were practically overhead on the floor just above.
It you do get back here during the summer please let

us know.

With all gpod wishes to you and your fine
family, I remain

Sincerely yours,

/

Laurence Walrath
