FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

To paraphrase a davy recruiting slogan -- "Join the Governors
race and see the State." If you doubt this, ask Psrris Bryant,
gubernatorial candidate in the Democratic Primary.

The former Speaker of the House has been working around the
clock meeting and speaking with as many people as possible through-
out the state ever since his official announcement on January 16.

A tireless worker, the hS-year-old Bryant has been averaging
16 hours a day, six days a week -- spending Sundays in Goals with
his wife, Julia, and their three daughters.

"I don't think you can call this work", Bryant said about his
arduous campaigning. "The many wonderful people I meet and talk
to are so interesting that I hardly realise where the time goes.

In fact, I wish there were more hours in the day so I could meet
more people. The only way to find out what the people in Florida
really want is to talk to them personally", he added.

in example or Bryant's itinerary is represented by this week's

Marion County Manager Leo hayward where they met with various groups
