This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter of
several days ago in regard to state-wide campaigning. rirst
of all I would like to state to you that I an unopposed in
the general election, and therefore I an not going to do any

canpaigning on my own behalf.

I do think it is a good idea that all state-wide
candidates get together and co-ordinate their canpaigns so
that the Democratic candidates present an united front to

the public. I do expect to do a little for the national
candidates when time permits.

If there is anything that I can do for the state-wide
candidates, please feel free to call on me.
