- OBEY THE LAW -

Racial integration is legal. Integration is morally right. integration is
Christian. The Bible teaches it the United States Supreme Court orders
it. Be a good American obey the law of the land. Be a good citisen go
to the polls and vote on Tuesday May Ztth Vote for DOYLE CARLTON.

Florida at this time is in one of the most critical periods of its history.
New more than ever before. we must have s Governor of this great State.
a man d not only unquestionable honesty and integrity. but one also Who

will uphold and enforce the law.

DOYLE CARLTON pledges to the people of Florida. that if elected as its
Governor. he will eagerly perform the duties of his office which include

honoring the mandates handed down from the United States Supreme Court.

DOYLE CARLTON is keenly conscious of the racial tensions currently
existing in the State of Florida. As your chief executive he pledges a pro-
gram of racial harmony. good will and brotherhood among both the Negro
and White races.

DOYLE CARLTON fully conceeds that our own legislature in the fields of
race relations. is grossly lacking and pledges to provide in the next
legislative session. the necessary leadership to establish better relations
between the two races. DOYLE CARLTON is not a hate mongerl

The radicals who clamor for unChristian segregation would like for the
voters of Florida to believe that integration can not work a- that it will lead
to racial discord. foster civil strife and encourage inter-racial marriages.
Nothing could be further from the truth. integration can work. . it has
worked... it is workin in Florida with promising results. Dade County
school board oicials have proved that colored and white children can
peaceably attend the same school. Moreover. the Federal Government is
proving that forced integration is better for the American people than
voluntary segregation. It is now a known fact that integration. once
accepted. will in a short period of time. adjust it's own problems that
once the Negro is accepted on an equal social basis. all hate and racial
prejudices soon fade. This fact is well typified by the splendid example
which is being exhibited in our Armed Forces and Veterans Hospitals
throughout America.

Last year the Veterans ldministration reported that sincs that service. has

completely integrated its hospital tacilities, remarkable results have been
achieved in the over-all coordination of better relations between fellow

V. It. employees. patient-employee relations and relationships between the
patients themselves. in many instances. Negro patients have expressed

a preference to he attended by white nurses and vice-verse. It is said

by the white patients of an attractive Negro registered nurse at the V. A.
Hospital. Lake City. Fla. "Miss (name deleted on request) cant be beat -
she's tape". This is proof that the two races can mix and still live. work
and play in harmony one with the other. This being true. the same can be
expected of integration in the public school system of Florida. Make no
mistake about it. integration can work in our schools and work if we
elect n Governor who has the backbone and courage to enforce the law a
men who has the ability to solve the race issue. DOYLE CARLTON will
never resist the law or refuse to obey the supreme law of the land as did
the lawless. back-woods Governor of Arkansas. Remember Little Rock!
and than remember to vote on Tuesday May 14th. Vote for DOYLE CARL-

TONI

Select DOYLE CARLTON your Governor and enjoy good government. law.

peace and order. Elect DOYLE CARLTON on Tuesday May lite aint! w
