for 1953 Session

Dear Farris:

rhis will acknowledge receipt or your mimeographed letter and
enclosure received in my office on October 14, 1952.

As we have done in the past, Jim Moody, 3am Gibbons and I sat
down and made a list of eight (8) committee selections which

we forwarded to each other so that we would not desire the same
committee appointments, and also, feeling that we are serving

a large county. that it it were possible to be placed on im-
portant committees and committees that affect our county's needs
that we would be most appreciative and rOrtunate. This did not
happen for the last 1951 session, but I feel certain that you

will do your best to give all three or the Hillsborough County
Representatives good committee appointments.

I am going to set out below, the same committee choices which I
sent to Jim Moody, and I havo listed railroads, telephone and
telegraph as my Number 5 selection, and, although this committee
is one of the lesser committees in some degrees, I would par-
ticularly like this committee appointment, even though it is not

my first choice. It is more or a personal choice or a lesser
committee.
