Dear Farris:

Enclosed please find my choice of committees for
the next session.

The one major committee that I would like very much
to be placed on is Appropriations because I am per-
sonally economyrmlnded, as I know you are. and I

feel that with the limited business experience I have
had and the courses taken in obtaining my degrees in
Business Administration and Law I would be as well
qualified to serve on this committee as any other
freshman member of the House.

In carrying out a pledge I made to the s rtsmen of
my county during the campaign I would 1i e to request
appointment to either the Constitutional Amendments
or Fish and Game Committees.

As to other committees. I feel that you are as familiar
with the interests of my county as I am. consequently.
I leave that to your capable judgment.

It is belief that our views on all state govern-
ment af air: and functions are basically the same,
and in view of that and our brief conversation after
the banquet in Tampa I shall be most grateful for
every opportunity you might afford me.
