Dear Farris:

Fred Pierson has asked me it I would write a note to you
in relation to the air conditioning units which he gave Sherman
Raise a bid on. I do not know what the bids were but Fred told
me that he had been told by Sherman that his bid and one other
was very close. Fred. (Rainey Cswthon) handles a good line or
air conditioning equipment which is Carrier. If there is any-
thing you can do to help him I would appreciate it very much.

I enjoyed seeing you in Jacksonville even though it was
just for a few minutes and wish that I could have stayed over
to have a longer talk with you. Last week the Trustees of the
II Fund released the money for the air conditioning to the House
Chamber and improvements for the House and Senate. Terry Lee
said that he would get Mr. Gray busy on the plans. At such time
as the matter is ready I will let you know in order to try to
save you any unnecessary trips to Tallahassee. He shall have
one difficulty and that is finding a place to put the elevator.
The next time you are up this way please let me know as I would
like to go over this problem with you.
