Dear Farris:

I received and appreciated your fine letter.

I now find that I lack the skill necessary to
express the unanimous feeling of pride which the
active members and alumni of Phi Delta Phi have
expressed to me in connection with your becoming

a brother in our fraternity. That you supply

a proven example of the tenets of our order is
a well recognized fact. Your distinguished
record and character now serves as a tangible
example to those of us who must strive for such

an achievement.

Particularly must I thank you for the splendid
message at our breakfast, and inform you that
your efforts were largely responsible for the
comment of many that this was the finest
breakfast yet".

I look forward to renewing our enjoyable chat at
the breakfast, and, of course, I will see you
on the next occasion where Phi Delta Phis

gather.
