Deer Farris:

I wish to thank you for the confidence you have
placed in me in eppointinr no to so many of your most im-
portant committees in the forthcominr Session of the 1953
Legislature. It is eonewhet of a nuzzle to me to understand
why your confidence has been so placed in me, but I pledge
to you my utmost effort to justify this faith.

There is only one more thing that I would like
to mention to you at this time; that is, my seat in the
House Chomber. I recall that durine the inaucuration you
said that my seat would not be moved from the place that
Jefferson County has had, which of course, delighted me.
Recently I was in Tallahassee and was talkinn to a Mr. Paul
Brown, what authority I do not know, and he advised me that
he wee roinp to move my seat and I just want to say that I
object to him takinc any sctia1 like tLis unless he has been
directed to do so by you. As much as I went to keep this seat.
I would not object to being moved if it is your wish rather
then Mr. Brown's. If you went to move no and feel that it
will in any way at all be a benefit to the smooth functioning
of the House, you certainly have my permission to wove no, but
I want this to be your decision alone.

I hate to bother you at this time about such
trivial things, but I had it on my mind and Just wanted to
wet it strairht once and for all, and I will appreciate it
if you will advise me on this as soon as you have had time
to make the decision.
