June 30, 1953, appointing me as hairman of the
Interim Committee on Labor and Management created
by House Resolution No. 1515. Thanks very much
for placing this trust and confidence in me.

I hope the next contingency newer arises, but

if it should and should Jim Moody not seek re-eiection,
I would appreciate your considering me {or appointment
to the Legislative Council in the position now occupied
by him. I have been talking to Jim and have asked him
to please seek re-election. As of my last conversation
with him, he seemed to be still on the fence. I hope
that if you get a chance, that you will put in a good
word with him.
