Dear r. Cahr:
this morning's nail brought to me a letter from our good friend
Paul Brown. a copy of which is enclosed for your Information.
it was nice of Paul to write me. and under the circumstances
i know of nothing to do but accept his resignation. Since he
will be away from Orlando for the entire months of December and
January with the exception of a very short period during the
Christmas Holidays. he can be of very little assistance to
you, and i must agree with him that it would be best for you
to get someone else who can be more active in our behalf. Fran
his letter. however. you will note that we will have the benefit
of his pocketbook and his heart and in every other way that he
can assist us. and this is all we can ask for. You and l, of
course. hate to lose him.
Do you have anyone else in mind to work with you? If so. please
feel free to contact any person or persons you might desire.
At your discretion you might go so far as to invite them to
join our finance committee and be one of our group to fill the
vacancy. if you do not have anyone in mind i might suggest
that you call Farris in Ocaia and get his suggestions and ideas.
Please call me if i can be of assistance to you.
i joined Farris in Hlami. and we had a meeting there yesterday.
it was terrific, and. believe me. Farris is certainly pleased
with the setup and arrangements we have in Niami and Dade County.
After yesterday's meeting i am assured that our finances for
that district will be in the bag by the end of this month. and
they already have an active organization with capable men at the
helm to carry forward the work to be done in Dade County. it is
most encouraging.
