Dear Mr. Pace:

I find that my itinerary is such that I will be out of the

city of Orlando for the next two to three weeks and after

the Christmas Holidays I will be out of the city the entire
month of January and the first half of February. Taking into
consideration my itinerary, i feel that it is only fair to
Farris Bryant and to Lloyd Gahr that i resign from the committee
so that you may appoint someone to help Mr. Gahr in the Orlando

area. and possibly the one you appoint can remain in Orlando
most of his time.

i regret exceedingly that my itinerary Is such that l have to
be out ofmy office a large part of the time at the end of the
year, and the first part of the year. I just do not have any
other alternative.

i wish to help and assist In Farris Bryant's campaign and will

do so. i would like to make some contribution to it, therefore,
kindly advise me if these contributions shoold be channeled thru
you in Pensacola. or should I channel them thru Hr. Gahr. I will
appreciate hearing from you and Mr. Gahr In regard to this.

it was indeed a pleasure to meet with you and the other good
gentlemen in Tampa. and of course i am looking forward to seeing
all of you in the days to come.
