Dear Farris:

I haven't had the opoortUnity to call or
write you for the past several weeks, for several
reasons. We have a new baby girl as of October 293
then, I had a siege of blood poisoning for a week or
so, and after taking penicillin, I had a siege of
penicillin poisoning -- than I took cortisone and
after getting over that reaction I am now taking

aspirin. Because of all of the above reasons, I couldn't
make Gaineaville, either.

Consenuently, you will appreciate the fact
that I havent had an onnortunity to do much of anything
with reference to our last telenhone conversation. I
haven't discussed with anyone the question of my serving
on the public amusement: committee, an now that I reflect
on it, I won't discuss it. Sufficeth it to say that I

shall be happy to serve on that committee in any capacity,
or any other committee.
