hear M r. Levy:

Thank you (or your letter of February 20th, 1958 and your
telegram of March let. I regret that a 10 day bout with in-
fluenza delayed my reapenco tn your anuiry.

Mter giving the matter some thought 1 must rerpectfully dc-
cline your gracious invitatinn. 0a the one hand I attempt to
limit my speaking engagement: to one each week. for obvious
reauom. but I em already engaged in spite of that attempted
limitation (or seven epeechee during March. Mamentany,
however. although I recognize that such a meeting between my
gnnd (end Jack her and myself would be newsworthy I am
convinced it would be productive of more heat than light.
Whatever may be the ultimate eolution of the problem which
we as a society now face I am canvlnced that soft words. not
harsh one: -- {ew wards. nnt torranu, provide the better

approach.
