My "vacation" trip was interrupted, and I finally
got back into Hilui this past weekend after having been forced

down in Cuba after all I've said about Castro on a wild and
wooly flizht.

I read with great interest that part of your report
on Latin Anerica which was printed in the hiani herald. I thought
it was excellently written and provocative. Needless to say, I

I understand that you and Julia are going up to
washington for the presidential inauguration. Originally I had
expected to be away at that time on my annual trip to Latin America.

the plans have now been changed, and I will be in Washington. nose ary
and I would like very much to have a little reception for you while

you are there at some time and place that would be convenient for you,
and if you can fit it into your schedule.

Also, I don't know whether you would be interested in
staying at aw house while you are there, but we would love to have you.

As you remember, our guest room is not elaborate, but raybe it would
be adequate.

Please let to know what your plans are and how we can
help facilitate then. I am leaving again Wednesday to meet koserary

to pick up our vacation trip, but the office will be holding forth
and happy to help any way they can.

Our very best to you and Julia for the holidays and
we look forward to seeing you in January. Heanwhile let us know about

the reception so we can proceed with plans if this roots with your
approval.
