Dear Bob:

Thank you for your letter of August 19.

I am conscious of the conflict of interest
in Jefferson County, and will play it just the
way you suggest. I am grateful to Felix, and
likewise grateful to Stuart and the others who
meant so mudh to me in the second primary.

The probability is that the Racing
Commissioner will come from the other end of
your district, and although 1 ac not have any
commitments or any irrevocable conclusions
about that it would be best for Stuart not to
get his hopes up on that item.

I like What you hays been saying about
the National situation.
