Dear Ferris:

hcloud is a copy of the study node for the fifth District
Bankers Association showing the inequitable effect of the two will levy
on intangibles.

I am confident that this law is greetly hurting lloride. as 1
pointed out to you. Kr. A. 6. Bush. who is worth $150 million dollars,
has deferred his plans to asks Ilorida his residence as s direct result
of this law. I can show you et oar bank a transfer of over $1 million
dollars out of the state for the year end state-sat. I en advised that the
big coupanies, such as RCA and Pan American. will transfer as much as 810
million dollars out of banks in lrsvard County over the year end in order
to avoid intensible tax.

This is grossly unfair, particularly since I am sure that seventy-
five percent of the people do not report their intangibles (or tax purposes
and there is no way that you can be sure of setting them.

i sincerely hope that you will sdvocste repeal of one-half of the
intangible tax, and I am sure that it will he of tremendous benefit to you.
