Dear Farris:

Thanks for yOur letter of July to and I certainly
appreciate your writing to me.

As yOu know, the last campaign l was obligated on
the account of friendship for one of the very much

defeated candidates, however, this time I have no
commitments whatsoever.

Farris, I do think It is high time that somebody

with some integrity and one whose head will not get
too big to go through a door in the office of Governor
of the State of Florida and, personally, I would like
very much, even though I think a man is foolish to

take on a killing )0b which people do not appreciate,
to see you enter the race.

If, and when, you decide to enter, I would certainly
like to talk with you. i could meet you at any

place you said, or if you are through Marianna would
like to have a long talk with you.
