Dear Farris:

EnJoyed biking to you last night and as agreed over the phone I pass
on to you some thoughts which, if acted upon. can make for smooth sailing.

First, if possible we should have a schedule of names and amounts
for all contributions. For instance. as before mentioned. it we can actuate
two $100 monthly payments by June first. four more by July 1 or a total of
ten by August first plus two of the $1200 checks (for those who prefer to con-
tribute that way) by July 15. it would put us in a position Where the opera-
tion wouldnt have to be re-estubllshed every 30 days. My point is. if
possible let's nail down names and PLtCE responsibility where we can roll.
Again I wont to say that il' 1 can relieve you and the boys in Tallahassee of
money raising all purties can do a better Job. I'm not seeking .my extra
jobs but I'll supervise this one when you give me the names and approve the
method of operation.

We should .Llso think in terms of a general fund which will be needed
(or expenses and to be reudy [or the actual campaign when started.

Also I point out that this summer it is imperative that we pick up the
slack we now have 4nd get ready to also help you while you are on the road
with the March of Dimes and to reap tne greatest amount of publicity for you.
