It was good to hear from you again.

One of the responsibilities of the Office of Emergency
Planning is to be ready for the kind of mobilization
activity and economic resource management which would
be necessary in the event of nuclear or other all-out
war. and for years that preparation has been underway.
There are no plans for rent controls under current
conditions or in the foreseeable future. but we. of
course, would be ready should there be a nuclear attack
or should we grow gradually into a total war.

Certainly we are trying to profit by the experience of
this Country in previous conicts. It is helpful. andl
appreciate your bringing to my attention the regulation
you enclosed.
