Dear Farris:

Enclosed yon will find a PDpH-d airoriel d
answer to the Miami Herald's attack on you. It is my
contention that we are entitled to comparable snace under the
statute and that no space in any newspaper is comparable to
the editorial page. I also feel that the Herald will re-

ject any editorial that exceeds by as much as a single let-
ter. the amount or space used by them.

I further racemmend in your next major speech you
set forth as one of the major campaign expenses the necess~
ity of refuting false and malicious, misleading statements
appearing in the editorial and news columns of napera
such as the Hiami Herald and that are controlled by in-
dividuals having overwhelming desire to dictate oolicy
in the state of Florida. An obvious example of this being
the Miami Herald's article of March 13 and 1h.
