Dear Farris:

Dink called to say that he had talked to Bruce
yesterday and that you and Julia were now in New York.
Bruce did say that you had marked Friday, August 5th, on
your calendar for Jacksonville Beach. Actually Pleas was
planning on your coming on Saturday, August 6th.

Let me suggest, therefore, that you bring Julia and
Julie up with you on Friday morning. August 5th. Biba can
take them on down to the Beach and we will arrange a big
luncheon in Jacksonville for that day with all of your

yrlncipal workers and you can there publicly state your
"thank yous".

That afternoon we can also arrange. if you like. for
you to see some of the city and county officers. and anyone
else you might especially like to see. We can then go on
down to the Beach late that afternoon.

on Saturday you can meet with Pleas' group. Unless you
gartlcularly desire to do so. I see no advantage in going
aboard the carrier. Actually. I believe that he is prin-
cipally anxious to arrange a banquet type of affalr on
Saturday night.

We nave plenty of room at the Beach house and are
counting on your being with us. If you will let me have any
suggestions. I will see that suitable arrangements are worked
out for all of the "official" part of the visit nature can
take care of the rest.
