Bruton Becomes New
Circuit Court Judge

Times Staff Writer

County Judge James DeWitt
Bruton Jr. is Florida's and Hills-
borough Countys newest Circuit
Court judge.

Judge Bruton was in Tallahas-
see today where he signed the
oath of office and received his
commission from Secretary of
State Tom Adams.

Gov. Farris Bryant appointed
Judge Bruton to serve out the
unexpired term of. Judge Harry
Nathan Sandler whose retire-
ment after almost 30 years on
the bench became effective to-

day.

JUDGE BRUTON is expected
to be sworn in as Circuit Court
judge in the county courthouse
tomorrow.

There was no immediate word
on whom Gov. Bryant will name
to serve out Judge Bruton's un-
expired term as county judge.
