I have just returned to my office after a very pleasant vacation spent
at our family beach cottage in Bradenton. This was followed by a trip
to Akron for the Annual Meeting of Knight Newspapers.

On my return, I certainly enjoyed reading your thoughtful letter of June
15th. Betty and I w0uld love to visit you and Julia. either for a lunch
or for an evening; but in View of your rather heavy schedule, 1 would
prefer to let you set the date. There are good morning and evening
flights from Miami to and from Tallahassee.

I am committed for one trip to St. Louis, leaving Miami on the 22nd and
returning on the 26th of July. At the last General Conference 1 was
appointed to be a member of the Commission on Methodist Information and
Public Relations, and the trip to St. Louis is to attend the organiza-
tional meeting of this commission. 1 also have an evening meeting July
27th here in Miami.

Ferris, I know that with the problems of St. Augustine and the World's
Fair, to say nothing of the hundreds of other responsibilities of your
job, that your free time is at a premium. Therefore. if it is not con-
venient for us to work this visit out in the near future, I will certain-
ly understand.

However, should it suit the convenience of you and Julia, Betty and I
would be real pleased to come.
