Dear Farris:

Since you are getting quoted some in the news-
papers about your prediction on outcome of the elec-
tion, I thought you might like to see the recap of
a survey made by the First Research Corporation a
few weeks ago.

They have rechecked their figures since that,
only about a week ago, and they find no material
change except in a few isolated areas where the
number of "undecided" voters has increased up to
as much as 31% in places.

Haven't seen you in quite a while, Farris, but
since your administration is coming to a close shortly,
Just let me say as one citizen of Florida that we
thank you for a gob well done. An office such as you
hold has many tr 8 a an r u ationa and many people
don't appreciate the load that you have to carry. I
thinu you have given Florida a good administration,

we have made much progress under it and we are ac
thankful to have had you there.
