Mr. Farris Bryant
1870 Challen Avenue
Jacksonville, Florida 32205

Dear Hr. Bryant:

1 was nest pleased to receive the copy of the book which arrived in
the morning mail. Your kindness in the autograph is particularly
appreciated and will, no doubt, increase my statue in the eyes of
my sons when they read it this evening.

The junior colleges in Florida are well aware of the obligation they
have to yOu for the leadership you provided, not only during your
term as governor, but also during your period in the Legislature.
when the history of Florida's higher education is written in the
future, I am certain that the contributions which were made under

your leadership will be recognized with even more admiration than they
may receive at the present time.

I personally appreciate your leadership and consider it a high privilege
to have had the opportunity to serve while you were president of the
State Board of Education and Governor of our state.

Respectfully,

7W

James L. Nattcnbarger
