Honorable Farris Bryant
Governor of Florida

Dear Governor Bryant:

As your days as Governor draw to an end I wish to take this
opportunity to express ny personal best wishes to you for your
future undertakings.

During your ter- of office you have been most considerate and
understanding of the works on which the Corps of Engineers are engaged
here in Florida. Such noteworthy achievements as the start of con-
struction on the Cross Florida Barge Canal, appropriations for pre-
constnaction planning on the Four River: Basin, and the accelerated
progress in the Central and Southern Florida Flood Control Project
are but a few of the many navigation and flood control projects to
which you have actively lent your support. As a result, Florida
stands to gain considerable benefit what these projects are couple-ted
and these should be considered anong your aany other fine achievements
as Oovvrnor of Florida.

I an deeply grateful for the splendid cooperation afforded le by
you and your fine staff. Too I greatly appreciate the many courtesies
that you personally have extended to no. My sincere thanks.

I trust that in future days we may have occasion to meet again.
Should we be able to be of any service in the future please do not
heutate to let MP know.

Sincerely yours .

at. a.

H. R. P 1"!
