Dear Governor:

I know you have a difcult decision to make regarding the
pending application for clemency for Floyd Holzapfel.

Let me, however. urge you to cast a vote against commutation
of the sentence. As we have discussed before, there is no such thing

as relative justice and the real tragedy is that the jury saw fit to recom-
mend mercy to Joe Peel.

I might add that this same reasoning applies in the case of
William Reddick, which I understand is before you again for reconsid-
oration.
