Mr. Farris Bryant
P. O. Box 563
Goals, Florida

Dear Farris:

Thank you for your letter of July 15. At the time it was received
I had just returned from uy vacation and have been engaged in
trial work, hence the delay in answering.

The general opinion among those who have taken an interest in
the governor's race locally is that you will be aaong the
candidates for overnor. In view of our pleasant past relations
with your law r rs and mutual friends, I an interested in your
candidacy.

I would be interested in knowing your views on segregation and
states rights inasmuch as I think these are two of due most
important dolestic issues facing the nation today.
Please givo ay regards to John Marshall Green.

Cordially yours,

Dean Boggs
