Dear Farris:
First I wish to express my appreciation to you for the gift of the handsome
tie clasp which i recently received. lam very proud of it and wear it with great
pleasure on account of the source.
I congratulate you on four years of outstanding service to the people and
government of the State of Florida. l have real satisfaction in having contributed
a very small part to your election and administration. i also appreciate the oppor-
tunities you gave me to serve as a deputy conunissioner on the Industrial Camis-
sian and as a member of the Commission for the Study of the Abolition of the Death
Penalty I am not unmindful of your tendering me the position as attorney for the
Milk Commission, which I had to decline.
Certainly, i also congratulate both your fine partners and yourself on your
new legal association. As for as I am concerned you could not have found a finer
group of lawyers and men to work with than Judson, Ray and Frank. i value very
highly their friendship, as well as yours, and my warmest fellcitations go to each
of you .
lam sure you, Julie and the girls will be happy in Jacksonville and i hope
the Miriam and i will have the opportunity to see you all from time to time. She
joins me n warmest regards to you and Julia .
