with regard to H vey Bryant and Max Boales, they are the
closest of friends and will go together, whichever way
they go. Harvey told me a long time ago that he was
going to be for you if you ran, and I have heard nothing
from him to indicate any change in mind. I think you can
take it from there on those two.
Ucal unningham is a former County Commissioner and he
wants to hear your policy on appointing lawyers to boards
such as the State Road Board, etc., which he is against.
He thinks lawyers don't have time enough to put the
necessary time into these things and that business men

well entrenched in southeast Volusia. He is ready to get
his boys r ling for you whenever the flag drops, and I
consider to be well worth having.
Jack Bird spoke to me some time ago and is ready to help.
He lives at Daytona Beach Boat Works and is a Deputy
Sheriff, with a lot of friends.
Lewis F. Law, I understand, is for you this time as he
was last time. He is a very well respected lawyer,
probably in his early sixties. He goes off half-cocked
tilting windmills frequently, but is really a very fine
manl
Now, of the group that met with you beforehand, you will
have to check with Harley on those, if you have not
already done so.
With kindest personal regards, I am
