(Gazetted 28th December, 1954).

1. Short title. This Notice may be cited as the Prices Control
(Amendment No. 6) Notice, and will come into force on 1st January, 1955.
2. Amendment. The prices set out hereunder are the Maximum prices
for which the articles enumerated may, be sold in the Colony and the First Schedule
Part A and B to the Prices Control Order 1947 (S.R. & O. No. 25) is hereby amended
bydeleting all the words, figures and symbols occurring in the columns opposite the

1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Official
Order, 1954.


Designations


2. Amendment of Schedule to Official Designations Ordinance.
The Schedule to the Official Designations Ordinance, 1940, (No. 4 of 1940) as
amended by the Official Designations Order, 1941, (S.R. & O. 1941, No. 29) is
hereby amended by deleting the words Clyef of .Police appearing in the first
column thereof and substituting the words Superintendent of Police" and by
deleting the words Superintendent of Police appearing in the second column
thereof and substituting the words Chief of Police ".

Made by the Governor in Council under section 4 of the Official Designations
Ordinance, 1949, (No. 4 of 19-0) this 17th day of December 1954.

COLONIAL HOSPITAL (AMENDMENT) RULES.


(Gazetted 28th December, 1954).

1. Short title. These Rules may be cited as the Colonial Hospital
(Amendment) Rules, 1954, and shall be read as one with the Colonial Hospital
Rules 1943, (S.R. & O. 1943 No. 55) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Rules)
and all amendments thereto.

2. Substitution of Rule 16 of principal Rules. Rule 16 of the
principal Rules is hereby revoked and replaced as follows :-
16. GENERAL WARDS. Patients admitted to the general wards wlho
wish to wear their own clothing may be permitted to do so at the discretion
of the medical officer on payment of a deposit on admission of $2.00 :
Provided that if the patient's stay in hospital does not exceed 8 days,
one half of the deposit ($1.00) shall be returned to him on discharge, and if
the stay in hospital exceeds 8 days, no part of the deposit shall be returned,
but no further fee shall be payable :
Provided also that in the case of children under 16 years of age the
charges shall be one-half of the above :
Provided further that in the case of a member of the Police Force belo.v
the rank of Sergeant Major, the deposit shall be $1.00 of which one-half shall
be returned if the stay in hospital does not exceed 8 days : and no charge
whatever shall be made under this rule if such member of the Police Force :s
admitted to hospital as a result of an injury received while on" duty."

Made by the Governor in Council under section 16 of the Medical Officers
Ordinance (Cap. 114) this 17th day of December 1954.
