The following extract from corres-
pondence received from the Govern-
ment of Trinidad and Tobago is pub-
lished for general information and
guidance:-
"In view of the health restrictions
imposed in various colonies resulting
from the recent slight outbreak of
jungle Yellow Fever in Trinidad intran-
sit passengers should be in possession
of valid (at least 10 days old) Yellow
Fever certificates so as to avoid delay
in their onward passages. Recent arri-
vals in Trinidad have been seriously
inconvenienced for lack of these cer-
tificates".

CONTROL NOTICES.
Discontinuation of Bulk Purchase of
Flour by Government and of.price Control
of Flour and Bread.
It is hereby notified for general in-
formation that this Goveinment has
decided to relinquish the policy of
bulk purchase of flour, also the control
of the price of that commodity and
bread as from 1st January, 1955.
As government does not intend to
hold stocks of flour beyond the 31st
December, 1954. importers will there-
fore be required to make stocks avail-
able for sale to the public as from that
date.
It will be necessary for all import-
ations of flour to be covered by import
licenses obtainable from the Controller
of Supplies, and it is further notified
that licences will normally be granted
only in respect of- the Enriched Grade
Flour.

STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS,
1954, No. 59.
THE GEORGETOWN TOWN BOARD (ELECTION OF
MEMBERS) (AMENDMENT) BY-LAWS.
(Gazetted 16th November, 1954.)
1. Short title. These By-Laws may be cited as the Georgetown Towr
Board (Election of Members) (Amendment) By-Laws, 1954, and shall be read a,
one with the Georgetown Town Board (Election of Members) By-Laws, 1949, (S.R.
& O. 1949, No. 17) (hereinafter referred to as the principal By-Laws) and any
amendments thereto.
2. Amendment of Section 6 of principal By-Laws. Sub-section (5)
of Section 6 of the principal By-Laws is hereby amended by deleting the words and
figure section 4 of the Small Towns Regulation Ordinance appearing in the
fourth line and in the eighth and ninth lines of the said sub-section and
substituting therefore in each case the words and figures Section 15 of the Local
Government Ordinance, 1951, (No. 17 of 1951) ".
3. Replacement of Section 10 of principal By-Laws. section 10
of the principal By-Laws is hereby cancelled and the following substituted
therefore :-
10. MODE OF GIVING VOTES. (1) The Presiding Officer shall
instruct the elector how to make his mark, and shall properly fold the
elector's ballot paper, directing him to return it, when marked, folded as
shown, but without inquiring or seeing for whom the elector intends to vote
except when the elector is unable to vote in the manner prescribed by these
By-Laws on account of blindness or other physical incapacity.
(2) The elector on receiving the ballot paper shall forthwith enter one
of the polling compartments and there mark his ballot paper by making with
a black lead pencil and not otherwise a cross within the space containing the
names of the candidates (not exceeding four) for whom he intends to vote,
and he shall then fold the ballot paper as directed so that the initials and the
numbers on the counterfoil can be seen without opening it and hand the
paper to the Presiding Officer who shall, without unfolding it, ascertain by
examination of the initials and numbers appearing thereon that it is the
same paper as that delivered to the elector and if the same he shall forthwith
in full view of the voter and all others present remove the counterfoil and
deposit the ballot in the ballot box.
(3) Every elector shall vote without undue delay and shall leave the
polling station as soon as his ballot paper has been put into the ballot box.
(4) If at the hour of closing of the poll there are any electors inside the
S y P11 station who are qualified to vote and have not been able to do since

their arrival at the polling station, the poll shall be kept ops-I a sufficient
time to enable them to vote but no one not actually present within the polling
station at the hour of closing shall be allowed to vote."
4. Interpretation. In the principal By-Laws Electors Roll" shall mean
the register of voters required to be kept by virtue of section 27 of the Local
Government Ordinance, 1951, (No: 17 of 1951).

THE CHATEAUBELAIR TOWN BOARD (ELECTION OF
MEMBERS) (AMENDMENT) BY-LAWS.
(Gazetted 16th November, 1954).
1. Short title. These By-Laws may be cited as the Chateaubelair Town
Board (Election of Members) (Amendment) By-Laws, 1954, and shall be read as
one with the Chateaubelair Town Board (Election of Members) By-Laws, 1949,
(S.R. & 0. 1949, No. 21) (hereinafter referred to as the principal By-Laws) and any
amendments thereto.
2. Amendment of Section 6 of principal By-Laws. Sub-section
(5) of Section 6 of the principal By-Laws is hereby amended by deleting the words
and figure section 4 of the Small Towns Regulation Ordinance appearing in the
fourth line and in the eighth and ninth lines of the said subsection and
substituting therefore in each case the words and figures Section 15 of the Local
Government Ordinance, 1951, (No. 17 of 1951) ".
3. Replacement of Section 10 of principal By-Laws. section
10 of the principal By-Laws is hereby cancelled and the following substituted
therefore :-
10. MODE OF GIVING VOTES. (1) The Presiding Officer shall instruct
the elector how to make his mark, and shall properly fold the elector's ballot
paper, directing him to return it, when marked, folded as shown, but without
inquiring or seeing for whom the elector intends to vote except when the
elector is unable to vote in the manner prescribed by these By-Laws on
account of blindness or other physical incapacity.
(2) The elector on receiving the ballot, paper shall forthwith enter one
of the polling compartments and there mark his ballot paper by making with
a black lead pencil and not otherwise a cross within the space con gaining
the names of the candidates (not exceeding four) for whom he intends to
vote, and he shall then fold the ballot paper as 'directed so that the initials
arid the numbers on the counterfoil can be seen without opening it and hand
the paper to the Presiding Officer who shall, without unfolding it, ascertain
by examination of the initials and numbers appearing thereon that ib is the
same paper as thatrdelivered to the elector and if the same he shall forthwith
in full view of the voter and all others present remove the counterfoil and
deposit the ballot in the ballot box.
(3) Every elector shall vote without undue delay and shall leave the
polling station as soon as his ballot paper has been put into the ballot box.

(4) If at the hour of closing of the poll there are any electors inside the
polling station who are qualified to vote and have not been able to do so since
their arrival at the polling station, the poll shall be kept open a sufficient
time to enable them to vote but no one not actually present within the polling
station at the hour of closing shall be allowed to vote."
4. Interpretation. In the principal By-Laws Electors Roll shall mean
the register or voters required to be kept by virtue of section 27 of the Local
Government Ordinance, 1951, (No. 17 of 1951).

1. Short title. These By-Laws may be cited as the Marriaqua Village
Council (Elections) (Amendment) By-Laws, 1954, and shall be read as one with
the Marriaqua By-Laws 1951, (S.R. & O 1951, No. 18) (hereinafter referred to as the
principal By-Laws) and all amendments thereto.
2. Amendment of Section 31 of principal By-Laws. section 31
of the principal By-Laws is hereby amended as follows :-
(a) by substituting for the word "Warden" appearing in the third line of
subsection (1), the word Clbrk ";
(b) by deleting the words and figures "section 20 of the Ordinance"
appearing in the fourth line of subsection (3), and substituting therefore
the words and figures Section 15 of the Local Government Ordinance,
1951, (No. 17 of 1951) ";

1. Short title. These By-Laws may be cited as the Troumaca Village
Council (Elections) (Amendment) By-Laws, 1954, and shall be read as one with
the Troumaca By-Laws, 1951, (S. R. & 0. 1951, No. 23) (hereinafter referred to as
the principal By-Laws) and all amendments thereto.
2. Amendment of Section 31 of principal By-Laws. section
31 of the principal By-Laws is hereby amended as follows :-
