ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF NORTH LEEWARD.
BYE-ELECTION.
The following Notices in connection with the forthcoming Bye-Election in the
Electoral District of North Leeward are published for general information :-
APPOINTMENT OF RETURNING OFFICER.
Under the provisions of section 14 of the Legislative Council (Elections)
Ordinance, 1951, His Honour the Administrator has been pleased to appoint
Mr. George Frederick Jack to be Returning Officer for the Electoral District of
North Leeward in connection with the forthcoming Bye-Election in that District.
NOTICE OF NOMINATION.
His Honour the Administrator having issued his writ for the election-of a
member of the Legislative Council for the Electoral District of North Leeward
the Returning Officer of the said District will on the 4th day of November, 1954,

between the hours of a.m. and noon at the Office of the Returning Officer
proceed to the nomination, and if 'there is no opposition, to the election of a
member for the said Electoral District.
Forms of Nomination Papers may b. obtained at the Office of the Returning
Officer between the hours of S a.m. and 4 p.m. daily except on Wednesdays when
the Office will be closed at i2 noon. (Sunday also excepted.)
Every Nomination Paper must be signed by any six or more electors qualified
to vote in the Electoral District for which a candidate is seeking election, and be
handed to the Returning Cric~lr -bet en the said hours of 9 a.m. and noon.
