VISIT OF GOVERNOR TO DOMINICA.

His Excellency Mr. Edward Betham Beetham, C.M.G., C.V.O.,
O.B.E., Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Windward Islands,
left Grenada for Dominica on 13th July for an official visit of about
10 days.
During His Excellency's absence from Grenada, Mr. L. Cools-
Lartigue, Chief Secretary, Windward Islands, will be Governor's
Deputy.
15th July, 1954.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section 30 of th- St. Vincent (Legislative Council) Order in
Council, 1951, the Governor may at any time, by Proclamation, dissolve the
Legislative Council:

AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to dissolve the existing Legislative Council
on the 15th day of July, One thousand nine hundred and fifty four :

Now THEREFORE I, by virtue of the powers conferred upon me, do hereby
proclaim that the existing Legislative Council shall be and the same is hereby
dissolved on the 15h day of July, One thousa-d nine hundred and fitty-four.

GiVEN under my hand at Government House in the Colony of Saint Vincent
this fifteenth day of July One thousand nine hundred and fifty-four and
in the Third Year of the reign of Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH THE
SECOND.
