Applications are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to the
vacant permanent and pensionable post
of Specialist Teacher, Commercial Sub-
jects, Girls' High School, Ministry of
Education, Community Development
and Youth Affairs.
The duties of the post includes:
(1) teaching Commerce, Principles of
Accounts, Shorthand and Typing
to G.C.E. Ordinary Level stand-
ard and to R.S.A. Examination
Grade III Standard;
(2) responsibility for all equipment
used in classes.
Ability to teach other subjects will be
an asset.

Entry Forms for the above Examina-
tion may be obtained from the Ministry
of Education, Kingstown.
Applicants for Ordinary Level will
normally be required to offer those
subjects only for which they were recom-
mended at the last qualifying tests held
by the Department of Education.
Candidates will be accepted for
Advanced Level subjects on the recom-
menation of their tutors.
The Fees which should be paid into the
Treasury are as follows:-

UNIFORMS FOR POSTMEN
Tenders are invited for supplying and
making Uniforms for Postmen for the
year ending 31st December, 1974.
The uniforms consist of long brown
Terylene Trousers and beige cotton
shirts, long sleeves with two (2) flap
pockets and shoulder straps, and the re-
quirements are for approximately (20)
twenty postmen. Samples should be
submitted with the Tender.
Tenders which will be received up to
3 p.m. on Friday 28th December, 1973

TENDERS FOR SUPPLY OF UNIFORMS
Tenders are invited for supplying and
making khaki drill uniforms for Port
Guards, Customs Guards, Attendants at
the Institutions and Workers at the
Health Department for the year 1974.
The drill used must be of the same
shade and texture for each uniform, and
samples should be submitted with the
Tender.
Uniforms consist of long trousers and
short sleeved shirts with two flap pockets
and shoulder straps and the require-
ments are for approximately 160 men.

UNIFORMS FOR MESSENGERS AT
GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS
Tenders are hereby invited for supply-
ing and making uniforms for Messengers
at Government Departments in respect
of the year 1974.
The Uniforms consist of long dark
blue terylene trousers and light blue
cotton shirts, long sleeves with two flap
pockets and shoulder straps, and the
requirements are for approximately 35
messengers. Samples of the material to
be used may be seen on request at the
Ministry of Finance.
Tenders which will be received up to
3 p.m. on Friday the 28th December,
1973 must be sealed and addressed to the
Chairman, Central Supply Tenders
Board, Ministry of Finance, IKingstown
and distinctly marked 'Tender for the
supply of uniforms for Government
Messengers'.
The Government does not bind itself to
accept the lowest or any tender and re-
s:rves the right to accept any part of a

Any delivery charge should be stated
on the Tender separate from the actual
price of the commodity.
The Government does not bind itself
to accept the lowest or any tender, and
reserves the power of accepting any
part of a tender. Nothing in any con-
tract which may be entered into will be
considered as affecting the right of the
Government to import at any time any
articles it may require notwithstanding
such supply as contracted for locally.
The attention of parties tendering is
particularly directed to the 'conditions
of contract' inserted at the end of this
notice, which will be binding on them.
1. The Contract to be from 1st
January to 31st December, 1974.
2. The Contractor undertakes to
deliver at his own expenses into the
stores of Institutions the articles placed
opposite his own name at the price
stated, on such days, at such times and
in such quantities as may be stated on
the requisition of the Head of Depart-
ment or officer in charge.
3. Every article supplied must be of
per pound a sound, good quality and no article is
to be substituted for the one requisi.

4. Any articles considered by the
Head of Department or officer in charge
to be of inferior quality may be rejected
by him, and shall be immediately re-
moved and replaced by the Contractor at
his own expense without any allowances
being made to him for such articles.
5. If the rejected articles arc not re-
moved within 9 hours from the time
notice shall have been given to the Con-
tractor, they will be returned to, and at
the expense of the Contractor; provided
that if the Contractor give such explana-
ations as may be satisfactory to the
Minister of Finance, the expense of such
return shall not be charged.
6. Should the Contractor neglect or
refuse to replace rejected articles con-
tracted for at the time stated in the
requisition, the Head of Department or
Officer in charge shall be at liberty to
purchase the said articles from other
persons; and the difference between the
price paid for such articles and the con-
tract price shall be deducted from the
next payment made to the Contractor.
7. The Head of Department or Offi-
cerin charge may, if he should deem it
necessary, purchase articles of perishable
food such as bread, meat, etc., at once to
replace rejected articles.
8. All fresh meat contracted for must
be slaughtered in the Slaughter house in
Kingstown.
9. If the Contractor should persist
in such irregularities as stated in para-
graph 6, the Minister of Finance shall
have the power to terminate the contract
immediately or at such time as may
appear to him proper and convenient.
10. The Contract mawy be terminated
at any time by one month's being given
either by the Contractor to the Minister
of Finance or by the Minister of Finance
to the Contractor.
TENDERS FOR MOTOR CAR
SERVICE
Sealed tenders are invited for the
provision of Motor car Service for the
conveyance of public officers during
1974.
The Tenders submitted should contain
particulars of the charges proposed to
be made for waiting.
The Contract may be terminated by
one month's notice on either side, and
the person to whom the Contract is
awarded will be required to enter in a
bond with the Government for the satis-
factory performance of the Contract.
Tenders close at 3 p.m. on Friday 28th
December, 1973, and should be addressed
to the Chairman, Tenders Board, Minis-
try of Finance, Kingstown and distinct-
ly marked on the envelope 'Tenders for
Motor Car Service'.

SUPPLY OF FOOD YEAST BISCUITS
Tenders are hereby invited and will
be received up to 3 p.m. on Friday 28th
December, 1973, for the supply of Food
Yeast Biscuits to the Education Depart-
ment during the year 1974.
The estimated requirements have been
placed at 1,350 tins per annum and the
supplier must guarantee to supply 450
tins at the beginning of each term and to
deliver same in good condition at
Primary Schools on the mainland and
Grenadines as directed by the Chief
Education Officer.
Any delivery charge should be stated
in the Tender separate from the actual
price of the commodity.
Tenders are to be addressed to the
Chairman, Tenders Board, Ministry of
Finance and the enveloped sealed and
marked 'Tenders for the Supply of Food
Yeast Biscuits'.
Government does not bind itself to
