VACANT POSTS OF CHIEF MECHANIC,
FITTER WELDER AND ASSISTANT
MECHANIC, DEPARTMENT OF AGRI-
CULTURE, MINISTRY OF TRADE, -
AGRICULTURE, & GRENADINES
AFFAIRS.
: Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for appointment
to the following posts in the Depart-
ment of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade,
Agriculture and Grenadines' Affairs:-
(1) Chief. Mechanic
.(2) Fitter Welder
(3) Assistant Mechanic
thief Mechanic
:. duties:
The Chief Mechanic would be respon-
sible for the setting up and operating of
the recently erected shop at Cane Hall.
He would be required to service, repair
and maintain all vehicles and equipment
owned and operated by the above Min-
istry. He would be responsible for all
stores and for the ordering of spares
for the maintenance of all vehicles in
accordance with the general stores regu-
lations.
The efficient operation of the machine
. shop would be his direct responsibility.
Qualification:
Applicants should be between the ages
of 30 to 40 years and should have had
at least .5 years experience, in practical
and administrative duty in the running
of workshops. Preference would be
given to candidates who have had formal
training in the maintenance and repair
of medium to heavy plant equipment.
Salary:
The Post carries a salary in the scale
V19-14 $5,400 X $300-$6,600 X $360
-$6,960. Point of entry in the scale
would be determined by the qualifica-
tion and experience of the successful
applicant. --
Fitter-Welder:
Duties:
The Fitter-Welder would be directly
responsible to the Chief Mechanic for
all duties designed to him. These would
entail duty in the workshop as well as
in the field if and when such occasions
arise.

Qualification:
Applicants should have had at least
three (3) years practical experience in
welding (all aspects including cast iron,
electric and ga;s welding) and fitting.
Machine shop experience would be an
advantage. Applicants should have at-
tained at least the school leaving certi-
ficate standard cr equivalent.
Salary scale:
Remuneration attached to the post of
fitter welder is in the scale V28-20
$3,240 X $180- ;3,600 X $240-$4,800
X $300-$5,100.
Point of enl v' in the above seale
would be deterLmined by the experience
and qualification of the successful ap-
plicants.
Assistant Mech: nic:
Duties:
The Assistar t Mechanic would be
directly responsible to the Chief
Mechanic for duties designated to him.
These would ei tail duty in the work-
shop as well as in the field when such
occasions arise.
Qualification:
Applicant sh :uld possess at least a
school leaving ( certificate or its equiva-
lent. He should have had at least two
(2) years experience in a workshop or
a garage of recognized standard.
Salary:
Remuneration attached to the post
would be in the Scale V38-25 $1,800 X
$120-$2,520 X $180-$3,600 X $240-
$3,840.
The point of entry in this scale would
be determined by the previous ex-
perience and ability of the successful
applicants.

missions Department and should reach

POST OF AMBULANCE DRIVER, MINISTRY

GOVERNMENT
Applications are invited for the post
of Ambulance Driver at the Kingstown
General Hospital, Medical and Health
Department, Ministry of Health, Hous-
ing and Local Government.
2. Applicants who should be between
the ages of 20 and 35 years, should hold
a valid St. Vincent drivers permit free
from endorsement and should produce
a Medical Certificate of fitness which in-
cludes a satisfactory Eye Test.
3. The post is pensionable and salary
is in the scale $1,740 X $60-$1,800 X
$120-$2,520 X $180-$2,880.
4. Applications accompanied by two
recent testimonials should be addressed
to the Chief Personnel Officer, Service
Commissions Department, Kingstown, to
reach him not later than 30th June,

VACANT POST OF ASSISTANT MANAGER,
WALLILABOU ESTATE
Applications are invited from suitably
qualified persons for the post of Assist-
ant Manager, Walliabou Estate.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a thorough
knowledge of agriculture, and experience
in handling labourers. Knowledge of
book-keeping and accounts would be an
asset.
Quarters:
Living Quarters will be provided on
the Estate.
Salary:
The initial salary of the post is $6,000
per annum and increments will be based
on merit and profitability of the Estate.
Leave:
Leave will be granted at the rate of
two weeks on full pay each year, and
three months leave after each three-year
period.
Applications should be in the appli-
cant's own handwriting, stating age,
educational qualifications, marital status
and experience in Agriculture.

CENTRAL WATER AUTHORITY
Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for the post of
Engineer, Central Water Authority, St.
Vincent.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Degree in Civil or
Sanitary Engineering.
2. Experience: At least three years
experience in a Senior Engineering
position with broad management func-
tions including co-ordination and super-
vision of units and staff involved in
engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
1. To provide advice to Secretary/
Manager on matters relating to water
production, water distribution, water
quality control, and maintenance and
repair of water systems and facilities.
2. To formulate, implement and eval-
uate short, medium and long range
development plans.
3. To supervise directly the Research,
Planning & Design and Construction
Sections including the collection of data
required for sound engineering planning
and design of water systems.
4. To develop operation and pro-
cedures manuals for water treatment
plants, chlorinators, laboratory, pump
stations etc.
Salary: Scale V16-6, that is $6,300,
$6,600 X $360-$8,760 X $480-$10,200.
Leave, Transport allowances will be paid
in accordance with existing rates.

has been reported lost.

TREASURY BILLS
ISSUE NO. 3.
The 3rd Issue of Treasury Bills
closed on 15th June, 1973 at an average
discount of 1.8%. This represents an
average tender rate of 98.2% and an
average annual interest rate of 7.35%.
The total amount tendered stood at
$1,900,000 against a total amount
offered of $1,500,000.
Notices of another Issue will be
published in due course.

AID TO PIONEER INDUSTRIES
(INTERNATIONAL COMPOSITORY SERVICES LTD.)
(PRODUCTION OF COLD TYPE "CAMERA COPY" SHEETS) ORDER.
(Gazetted 19th- June, 1973).
WHEREAS on the 23rd day of May, 1972, by Statutory Rule and Order
No. 17 of 1972, the establishment maintenance and operation in Saint Vincent
of a plant for the production of sheets of directly photographic cold type,
known as "Camera Copy" was declared to be a pioneer industry for the
purpose of the Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952, (No. 5 of 1952)
and sheets of directly photographic cold type known as "Camera Copy" was
declared to be a pioneer product for the said purposes.
THEREFORE in exercise of the power conferred upon him by sub-
section (1) of Section 4 of the Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952, the
Governor has been pleased to make the following Order:-
1 Short title. This Order may be cited as the Aid to Pioneer Industries
(International Compository Services Ltd.) (Production of Cold Type "Camera
Copy" Sheets) Order, 1973.
2. Declaration. International Compository Services Limited, a Com-
pany duly incorporated and registered under the laws of Saint Vincent is
hereby declared to be a pioneer manufacturer in relation to the production
of cold type "Camera Copy" Sheets so produced at the pioneer plant
established at Kingstown.
3. Construction Day. Construction day was the 1st September, 1970.
4. Production Day. Production day was the 1st October, 1971.
Made by the Governor under Section 4 of the Aid to Pioneer Industries
Ordinance, 1952, (No. 5 of 1952) this 13th day of June, 1973.
