KINGSTOWN GENERAL HOSPITAL
MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT AND YOUTH AFFAIRS

Applications are invited froh .tit-
able candidates for the post of O(er-
ing Supervisor, Kingstown General
Hospital, Ministry of Education, Com-
munity Development *and Youth Af-
fairs, in the salary scale V 26-21
$3,600 x $240-$4,800.
Preference will be given to candi-
dates with previous experience in large
scale catering or who have under-gone
a formal training programme. G.C.E.
'O0' Levels in English and Mathematics
will be an advantage.


The successful applicant will be' res-
ponsible .to .tth Hospital Superinten-
dent for the purchase of food and
supervision of the catering staff within
the hospital, and will have an advisory
role to the Senior Medical- Officer on
such matters at other Medical institu-
tions.
The successful candidate will be
recommended for a four-month fellow-
ship in food services supervision which
PAHO/WHO proposes to sponsor in
Barbados later in the year.

qualification and experience together
with two (2) recent testimonials
should be forwarded to the Chief

portion of land at Cumiberland in the parish bf St. Patrick for a public
purpose.

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 3 of the Land Acquisition Ordinance
1946 (No. 22 of 1946) that if the Governor considers that any land should be
acquired for a public purpose he may cause a declAration ti that effect to be
made:
AND WHEREAS it was considered by the Governor that the undermentioned
parcel of land should be acquired for a public purpose, to wit, the establishment
of a Goverrment Housing Scheme:
AND WHEREAS by declaration published in the Gazette on the 14th and
21st March, 1972 it was declared that the said parcel of land at Cumberland
in the Parish of St. Patrick measuring 2 acres and 32 poles as shown on plan
P126 and bounded as shown on the said plan was required for a public purpose
and should vest absolutely in the' Crown upon the Second Publication of the
said Declaration to that' effect in the Gazette:
AND WHEREAS it was further declared and notified that a plan of the said
land bearing the number P126 and prepared by Cuthbert Bazil, Licensed Land
Sutrveyor was lodged for inspection at all' reasonable hours at the Lalids, arid
Surveys Department of Kingstown- in the State of St. Vincent on the 25th
day of September, 1971.
Now THIS Is To REQUIRE all persons interested to render to the Authorised
Officer at the said Lands and Surveys Department within thirty days of the
issue of this notice a statement in writing signed by them or their Attorneys
or Agents setting forth the amounts and full particulars of their claim for.

distinguishing the amounts under separate heads and showing how the amount.

THE GAMBLING, LOTTERIES AND
BETTING ORDINANCE 1968


It is promulgated for the informa-
tion of the general public that appli-
cations for the grant of Betting
Licence or a Permit to carry on such
business as is mentioned in paras. (a)
and (b) of Sub-section 1 of Section 30
of The Gambling, Lotteries and Bet-
ting Ordinance 1968 oi' a Permit to
operate a Pinball Machine under Sec-
tion 15" of the said Ordinance or
Pinball Machine Licence will be con-
sidered on 22nd June, 1972, at Police
Headquarters at 4.30 p.m.

Applications addressed to the Chair-
man must reach the Authority not
later than Saturday 3rd June, 1972.

Any person who desires to object to
the grant by the Authority of any
particular Permit or Licence should
send to the Authority before the 3rd
June, 1972, two copies of a brief state-
ment in writing of the grounds, of .his
objection.,- -

THE GAMBLING, LOTTERIES AND
BETTING ORDINANCE 1968


Persons desirous of making applica-
tion to carry on the following:-
(a) business of receiving or negoti-
ating bets or conducting betting
operation, or,
(b) by way of business in any man-
ner to receive or negotiate bets
or conduct such operations, or
(c) to operate a Pin Ball Machine
are requested to note that it is neces-
sary to obtain:
(a) a permit, and
(b) a licence

Application should be made on Form
1, and it will be necessary for the
applicant to state in the application
the following information:-
(a) date of birth,
(b) office and usual place of resi-
dence

(c) place of residence during the
past 5 years
(d) that during the 12 months pre-
ceding the date of the applica-
tion, he has not been refused
the grant or renewal of such
a permit, and
(e) two references as to character.

It should further be noted that in
making an application for a licence,
the applicant should state:-
(a). that he is the holder of a per-
mit, and
(b) submit a plan, sufficient to show
the lay-out and location of the
said premises and the me4ns of
access thereto.

In addition, the applicant should
comply with the following:-
(a) send copy of application to ap-
propriate Police Officer,


(b) publish in the newspaper circu-
lating in Saint Vincent, a notice
of the application, not later
than twenty-eight days before
the hearing of any such appli-
cation,
(c) send copy of newspaper con-
taining publication to the Auth-
ority not later than seven days
after advertisement.

Persons wishing to object to the
grant of a permit in respect of any
premises should send to the Authority
two copies of the grounds of objection,
not later than ten days after publica-
tion of advertisement.

Forms of application may be obtain-
at the Inland Revenue Office or Police
Headquarters.
