AID TO PIONEER INDUSTRIES
(ST. VINCENT ECONOMY LUMBER COMPANY LTD.) (SAWMILLING)
ORDER, 1970.

(Gazetted 28th October, 1970).

WHEREAS on the 16th day of September, 1969, by Statutory Rule and
Order No. 39 of 1969, the production, preparation and processing of sawn
timber of local origin was declared a pioneer industry for the purposes of the
Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952 (No. 5 of 1952), and sawn timber
of local origin was declared to be a pioneer product for the said purpose.
THEREFORE in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sub-
section (1) of section 4 of the Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952,
(No. 5 of 1952) the Governor has been pleased to make the following Order:-

1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Aid to Pioneer Industries
(St. Vincent Economy Lumber Company Ltd.) (Sawmilling) Order, 1970.

2. Declaration. St. Vincent Economy Lumber Company Ltd., a com-
pany duly incorporated and registered under the laws of Saint Vincent, is
hereby declared to be a pioneer manufacturer in relation to the production.
preparation and processing of sawn timber of local origin at the pioneer
factory established at Hermitage in the Parish of St. Patrick.
3. Construction Day. Construction Day was 28th June, 1969.
4. Production Day. Production Day was 15th November, 1969.


Made by the Governor under section 4 (1) of the Aid to Pioneer Industries
Ordinance, 1952 (No. 5 of 1952) this 28th day of October, 1970.
