SPECIFICATION OF POST
Traiicee Computer Operalor. The sue-
ceessful applicant will be taught to oper-
ate the computer configuration now in
use in the department and will be ex-
pected after training', to be capable of
accepting responsibility for operating
the equipment in accordance with the
written instructions provided by the
programmer for each routine.
The Computer Configuration consists
of:-

(c) One Exchangeable Twin-Disc

(e) Paper Tape Reader
The Salary of the post is in the seale.
V 38-27 $1,800 x 120-$2,520 x 180-

QUALIFICATION.
Preference will be given to applicants
with previous experience of operating a
computer with a similar configuration
to the one i use in the department.
The qualities asked for in an operator
arc :
(a) Manual dexterity and an apti-
tude to practical work
(b) Ability to reason logically
(,) Willingness to accept responsi-
hilily.
EDUCATIONAL STANDARD.
A good secondary education, prefer-
ably lo '()" level standard. Each appli-
calt will be required to sit an aptilmue
test and the successful applicant must
reach a satisfactory level in this test.

posts of Agricultural Instructors in the
Department of Agriculture, Trade and
Tourism.
Applicants who have passes in Botany
or Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and
English Language at Ordinary Level,
G.C.E., will be given preference when
applications are considered but this
does not preclude others.
The appointment is pensionable and
will be for a probationary period of two
years in the first instance.
The salary of the post is .l1.680 x 60

the post include the development and
general supervision of small scale agri-
culture with special reference to soil
conservation, land usage, co-operative
processing and marketing of crops, live-
stock development, the administration of
laws relating to agriculture and such
other duties as may be assigned to him
from time to time.
The successful candidates will be sub-
ject to the Civil Service Orders and
Sore Rules of the State of St. Vincent
and to the various Ordinances and sub-
sidiary legislation in force in the State
in as far as they are applicable.

a number of Scholarships for studies in
India to students from the West Indies
under their General Cultural Scholar-
ship Scheme for 1971/72.
2. The Scholarships cover a wide
r;',nge of subjects including Arts, Basic
Sciences, Agriculture, Medicine and re-
lated fields, law and Jurisprudence, In-
ternational Studies( including African
Studies) and International Relations,
Music, Dance and Drama.
