TENDERS FOR PURCHASE OF FISHERIES
BOATS


Tenders are invited for the purchase
of
(a) Auxiliary fishing vessel "Flam-
ingo" length 46' O.A. Beam 13'
Draught 6' and' fitted with 31
H:P. Lister Diesel Engine, insu-
lated fish-hold and sleeping ac-
commodation for five (5) persons.
(b) Fishing demonstration boat 25
feet long.
The "Flamingo".is anchored at the
Carenage and may be inspected daily
except Sunday, between the hours of
-9 a.m. and 12.00 noon. The demonstra-
tion boat could be seen at the "Quarry".
Interested persons should contact the
Ministry of Agriculture, Trade and
Tourism.
Sealed tenders should be addressed to
the Chairman, Central Supply Tenders
Board and should be clearly marked on
the envelope "Tender for Fisheries
Boats".
The closing date which was previously
stated as 3 p.m. 15th May, 1970 has now
been extended to 3 p.m. on 15th June
1970.

QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY PARADE -
SATURDAY, JUNE 13, 1970

Regulations made by the Commissioner
of Police under Section 79 (1) of
the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic
Ordinance No. 20 of 19-10.

VICTORIA PARK
Between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and
9.00 a.m. on Saturday June 13, 1970,
during the Parade to celebrate the
Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen,
vehicles will be admitted to Victoria
Park by way of Peebles Bridge ONLY.

MOTOR VEHICLES EXIT
Exit will be by way of Bentinck
Square and Road to Leeward.
PARKING
Motor Vehicles bearing 'WHITE
STICKERS' will park on the road out-
side the Park between Bentinck Square
and Entrance to the Bishop's residence
as directed by Police.
Motor Vehicles bearing 'PINK
STICKERS' will park on the road be-
hind the Pavilion between Peebles
Bridge and entrance to' Bishop's resi-'
dence, open space outside-Hospital An-
nexe, Fernside Road and Back Street as
directed by Police.

KINGSTOWN BOARD

A competitive examination for the
award of four scholarships, for two girls,
and two boys, tenable at a recognized


Secondary school, will be held at the
-,Boys' Grammar School on Friday 3rd
July, 1970, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
2. Each Candidate must:-
(a) Have been less than twelve years
of age on 31st July, 1970.
(b) be a native of the State or child
of a native;
(c) have been residing in Kingstown
or within half a mile of the boun-
daries thereof during three years
previous to 31st July, 1970.
(d) be a pupil of a private or public
school in the State;
(e) produce a certificate of good be-
haviour from the Head Teacher
of such school.
3. No Candidate. shall be awarded a
Scholarship who obtains less than one-
third of the maximum of marks in each
subject and less: than one. half of the
total marks in the Examination.
4. Candidates will be examined in
English, (including Comprehension)
and Arithmetic, and will be given an
Intelligence Test.
5. The Scholarships ,are awarded for
a period of five years, 'provided the
Scholars' attendance, conduct and pro-
gress as shown by the term reports are
considered satisfactory.
6. Applications, accompanied by
Birth or Baptismal certificates must
reach the Office of the Kingstown Board,
Paul's Lot, not later than Friday, 26th
June, 1970.

The attention of all Rate Payers is
hereby -drawn to section 68 of the.
Kingstown Board Act as under :
(1) All rates and taxes payable un-
der this Act shall be paid to the War-
den at the Office of the Board between
the first day of March and the thirtieth
day of June in each year.
(2) A penalty of six per centum of
the assessed rate shall be payable on all
rates paid after June in any year which'
under sub-section (1) 'herein were due
for payment before that date -and .on
the 31st of December there shall .be
added to the grossed up amount of rate ,
and penalty due three per centum in-

terest in respect of the half year and
three per centum per half year shall be
added at half yearly rests in respect of
any amounts due and unpaid from time
to time thereafter.
