distinctly marked "Tenders for Conveyance of Mails, Passengers and Cargo-(St.
Vincent-Grenadines)."
4. Tenders will close at 3.00 p.m. on Friday the 6th day of December, 1957.
5. Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any Tender.

EXAMINATIONS OF THE UNIVERSITY
OF LONDON.
It is hereby notified for the informa-
tion of interested persons that the B.A.
Examination of the University of Lon-
don will be held in St. Vincent in the
month of June, 1958.
In addition to the examination fee, a
local fee of two shillings must be paid
by each candidate.
Candidates should submit to the Local
Correspondent in writing, not later than
25th January 1958, their Entry Forms
duly completed, together with the Trea-
sury receipt for the examination and
local fees paid.

GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION
EXAMINATION.
It is hereby notified for the informa-
tion of interested persons that the
General Certificate of Education Exam-
ination will be held in St. Vincent in
June 1958.
Before applicants will be accepted as
candidates for this examination, they

must be certified by the Education Offi-
cer as fit to take it. For such purpose,
the Education Officer will require evi-
dence that the applicant has been pur-
suing a suitable course of study.
A candidate who does not hold a
General Certificate of Education of the
University of London, or a Cambridge
School Certificate, will be required to
enter in not less than six subjects at the
Ordinary Level.
A candidate entering in six subjects
as stated above, will not be eligible for
the award of a certificate unless he
reaches the pass standard in at least
four subjects.
The following are the fees payable-
(i) An initial entry fee of ten shil-
lings. (This fee has been recently
instituted by the University, to
come into effect in 1958.)
(ii) the examination fee of ten shil-
lings per subject at Ordinary
Level, and one pound per subject
at Advanced Level.
(iii a local fee of two shillings pay-
able by each candidate.
Candidates should submit to the Local
Correspondent in writing not later than
the 31st January 1958, their full names,
Birth Certificate, subjects offered for the
examination, and the Treasury receipt
for the fees stated above.

LIQUOR LICENCE NOTICE.
All licensed dealers in the sale of
intoxicating liquors are hereby reminded
that they should apply to the Chairman
of the Liquor Licences Board for a
renewal of their licences before the
usual annual Liquor Licences Session
which will be held in the various
Parishes during the month of December,
1957.
2. Late applications are subjected
to a late fee. Dealers will therefore
save this fee if they apply for the re-
newal of their licences before the Annual
Licensing Session is held.
3. Applications for new certificates
under the Liquor Licences Ordinance
should reach the Magistrate's Office,
Kingstown not later than 3 p.m. on
Saturday the 23rd day of November,
1957.

BEQUIA DISTRICT COUNCIL.
Notice is hereby given that in accord-
ance with the Bequia District Council
(Flectinn of 1\Toemberos) Pr-T La, t' f.U:1
Presiding Officers will be in attendance
at the respective Polling Stations in the
four Wards of the Island of Bequia on
Monday, 25th November, 1957 from
10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. to receive nomina-
tions for the election of four members to
serve on the Bequia District Council for
the term commencing 1st January, 1958
and ending 31st December, 1959.
2. The retiring members are eligible
for re-election.
3. Should a poll be required it will be
taken at the four Polling Stations in the
Wards on Monday 2nd December, 1957
from 9.00 a.m. to 12 noon, and from
1.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
4. The Roll of Electors used in the
1957 General Election shall be regarded
as the Register of voters for the purpose
of this election.

PENSIONS (AMENDMENT NO. 2) REGULATIONS.
(Gazetted 12th November, 1957.)
1. Short title. These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions
(Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 1957, and shall be read as one with the Pensions
Regulations, 1948, contained in the First Schedule to the Pensions Ordinance,
1948, (No. 16 of 1948) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Regulations) and
all amendments thereto.
2. Regulation 32 revoked. Regulation 32 of the principal Regulations
is hereby revoked.
3. Amendment of first Schedule. The First Schedule to the prin-
cipal Regulations is hereby amended by inserting the word "Ghana" between
the words "Gambia" and "Gibraltar" in the first column thereof.
Made by the Governor in Council with the sanction of the Secretary of State
under section 3 (1) of the Pensions Ordinance, 1948, (No. 16 of 1948) this 16th
day of August, 1957.
