POLICE NOTICE.


R A.F. CADETSHIPS AND
APPRENTICESHIPS.

Tihe following is published for gener-
al intormation:-
For 1957 and thereafter, I the Air Min-
istry has proposed to enter successful
overseas candidates to the R.A.F. Col-
lege, Oranwell, in Jan a!y of < ach year-
instead of September, and al plications-
for entry in 1957 and onwards must
reach the Chliif of Police 1b. 31lt, Sep-
tember of each preceeeding year.
CONDITION OF ADMISsION.
A. Cadets ips.
Candidates for the Caictshi] s must :-
(a) Comply with the medical stan-
dards laid down for admission to
the R.A.F.
(b) Be members of families estab-
lished and resident in the Colony
coincernle .
(c) Be British Subjects and unmmar-
ried.
(d) Be within the age limits of 174
and 19 years on the 1st of Janu-
ary of the year of entry into
Cadet training.
(e) Have reached a standard of gen-
eral education equal to thnt
which is normally required for ad-
mission to a degree course at a
University of a Commonwealth
country.
In addition to the above, candidate,
will be required to undergo tests of
flying aptitude (in case the candidates
for General Duties) (Flying) branch)..
and selection tests lasting about three
days to assess personal qualities.
R. Apprenticeships.
Candidates for an aplicnticesl:ip
must:-
(a) Comply with the uredical stan-
dards laid down for enlistment
in the R.A.F.
(b) Be members of families estab-
lished and resident in the Colony
concerned.
(c) Be British subjects or British-
protected pirsonis.
(d) Be within the acg limits of 151
and 17 years on the fi st day of
thl month of entry into appren-
tice training.
(e) Have ri-ched a standard of edu-
cation that will enable them to'
profit hy the course of training.

Chief of Police for further I articulars.
