The following document is publish-
ed with this issue of the Gazette:-


A temporary cost-of-living bonus is
payable at the usual rate granted to
Civil Servants.
The candidate selected may be ap-
pointed at any point in the scale accord-
ing to qualifications and experience.
The appointment will be probation-
ary in the first instance, and the ap-
pointee may be confirmed in the perma-
nent, pensionable post after one year's
satisfactory service.
The Girls' High School is under the
control of the Government of St. Vin-
cent, and teachers on its Staff possess
the status of Civil Servants.
Free passage to St. Vincent to take up
appointment is provided.
Applications, with details of educa-
tion, qualifications, age and experience,
and copies of not more than three testi-
monials should be sent to the Education
Officer, Department of Education, St.
Vincent, not later than 15th December,
1951.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

NOTICE TO MASTERS OF SMALL
CRAFT SAILING IN WEST
INDIAN WATERS.

Attention has been drawn to the fact
that Schooners and other small craft
have been observed sailing in West In-
dian waters between sunset and sunrise
without showing the Regulations lights
as required by the International Rules
of the Road at Sea.
All masters and persons in charge of
vessels are hereby warned that apart
from the risk of collision, possible loss
of life etc., the penalty for not exhibit-
ing the proper Regulations Collision
lights at the Schedu(led time is Six
Months Imprisonment or a fine of 100-
(One Hundred Pounds).

PRICES CONTROL (AMENDMENT NO 43) NOTICE.

(Gazetted 4th December, 1951).

1. Short title. This Notice should be cited as the Prices Control
(Anmndment No. 43) Notice.

2. Amendment. The Prices set out hereunder are the Maximum prices
for which the articles enumerated may be sold in the Colony and the First
Schedule Part B to the Prices Control Order 1947 (S.R. & O. No. 25) is hereby
amended by deleting all the words, figures and symbols occurring in the columns
opposite the articles: Salt-Fine," Salt-Coarse," and substituting therefore
the following :
