that 500 doses of Swine Vaccine have
arrived in the Colony, and vaccinations
will be given by the staff of the Agri-
cultural Department at a charge of 84
cents per dose.

or to the Agricultural Officers in the
Districts.

PRELIMINARY NOTE.

At the direction of the Central Hurri-
cane Committee a brochure is in course
of preparation containing :
(1) detailed arrangements for warn-
ings in the event of the approach of hur-
ricanes and concerning the organisation
of hurricane relief;
(2) nominal roll of Hurricane Com-
mittees;
(3) information on the relationship of
Central Committees to District Commit-
tees;
(4) supply Services;
(5) protection and Reserve Services;
(6) shipping arrangements,
and a number of other directions and ar-
rangements which will become operative
in St. Vincent and the St. Vincent Gren-
adines in the event of storm warning
and if hurricanes materialise.
Pending completion, publication, dis-
tribution and sale of this brochure, the
customary Notices are meanwhile being
published hereunder for information and
guidance.

1. Short title. These Regulations may be cited as the Post Office
(Amendment No. 4) Regulations, 1950, and shall be read as one with the Post
Office Regulations, 1938, (hereinafter referred to as the principal Regulations) and
all amendments thereto.
2. Table B revoked and replaced. Table B to the principal Regulations

The Air rate for Post Cards shall be half the rates detailed for letters for each
country of destination, except in the case of the countries on the 8 cents rate
when the full rate of 8 cents will be paid.
N.B.-Air Mails are despatched from and received in St. Vincent via Trinidad.
Air Mails are despatched from and received in St. Vincent by Air whenever
opportunity offers. Whenever it appears to the Trinidad or to the St. Vincent
Administration that time will be gained such Air Mails are however forwarded to
destination by vessel or steamer, to St. Vincent for delivery or to Trinidad for
onward transmission by Air. In the case of the 8 cents rates Air Mails are sent
direct to the country of destination by vessel or steamer from St. Vincent
whenever a saving of time is likely to be effected by such despatch.
Air Mails addressed to places on the 8 cents rate are often despatched by sea
to Trinidad for onward transmission by B.W.I. Airways or vice versa.
Air Mails of the 8 cents rate addressed to places not served by B.W.I. Airways
will be accepted and despatched to the Colony served by B.W.I. Airways ensuring
quickest delivery or vice versa.
Air Mail is forwarded daily by Foreign Carrier and on Mondays, Wednesdays,
Thursday and Saturdays by British Carrier by the Intermediary Postal Exchange
of Trinidad.
Air Mail intended to be forwarded by Foreign Carrier should be marked
clearly "By Foreign Carrier", otherwise they may be forwarded by "British
Carrier."

KINGSTOWN BOARD (WATER SUPPLY) (AMENDMZ-t
NO. 3) BY-LAWS.


(Gazetted 1st August, 1950).

1. Short title. These By-laws may be cited as the Kingstown Board
(Water Supply) (Amendment No. 3) By-laws, 1950, and shall be read as one with
the Kingstown Board (Water Supply) By-laws made by the Governor on the 18th
day of June, 1936, (hereinafter referred to as the principal By-laws) and all
amendments thereto.

2. By-law 19 of Principal By-laws Revoked and Replaced.
By-law 19 of the principal By-laws is hereby revoked and replaced as follows :-
19 (1) Subject to the terms of any special agreement made with any
person for the supply of water by the Board to any premises, the Board shall
levy-
an Annual General Water Rate, on all houses and lots of land as
appear on the current assessment list prepared under the provisions of
Section 41 (1) (a) of the Kingstown Board Ordinance.
(2) Such Rate shall be based on the annual rental, of the premises as
set out in the said assessment list, and shall be such percentages of the said
annual rental as are set out in the First Schedule hereto.
(3) The Board shall have power to alter or vary the percentages set out
in the First Schedule hereto by resolution published in the Gazette in the
month of December in any year, and the percentages so published shall have
effect as though inserted in the First Schedule hereto, and shall be
enforceable from the first day of January in the next succeeding year.
(4) Subject to the terms of any special agreement made by the Board
with any person for the supply of water by the Board to any premises, every
person, liable to pay the Annual General Water Rate in respect of premises
to which water is supplied by means of a private water service, shall, in
addition to such rate, pay the charges, in respect of appliances and
structures situate on the said premises, as are set out in the Second Schedule
hereto.
(5) The Board shall have power to vary or add to the charges or types
Of charges set out in the Second Schedule hereto in like manner as is
contained in paragraph (3) of this By-law, and such variation or addition,
shall have effect 'as if inserted in the Second Schedule hereto, and shall be
enforceable from the first day of January in the next succeeding year."

3. Addition of Schedules to PrincipalBy-Law. After By-law 29
of the principal By-laws the schedules to these By-laws shall be inserted.

4. Commencement. These, By-laws shall be deemed to have come into
operation on the 1st day of January 1950.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

ANNUAL GENERAL WATER RATE.

(a) On Houses and Lots of Land without Private Water Services-3% of annual
rental.
(b) On Houses and Lots of Land with Private Water Services-1/2% of annual
rental.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
