NOTIFICATION OF GOVERNMENT
AERODROME AT VILLA.
It is hereby notified under Article 50
(1) of the Colonial Air Navigation Order,
1950..(Imp. S.I. 1949, No. 2000). that all
that area of water as described in the
Schedule hereto is a Government Aero-
drome and is available as for use as a
place of landing or departure by the
Grumman Goose amphibian aircraft
owned by the British Guiana Airways,
Limited, in connection with the opera-
tion of their charter flights to and from
the Island of Saint Vincent, and such
aircraft making sachl, use'of the aero-
drome aforesaid, shall comply with the
require nents of the Controlling Author-
ity thereof.

No. 528 of 22nd November, 1919, it is no-
tified for general information that His
Majesty the King has now approved the
observance of his birthday in 1950 on
FRIDAY, the 9th JUNE, which has been
declared a Bank Holiday.
The following is the Official Pro-
gramme relating to the Ceremonial for
the King's Birthday Parade to take
place at the Market Square, Kingstown.
[The Units to take part in the Parade
will be :-
Detachment of St. Vincent Police Force.
Detachment of St. Vincent Grammar
School Cadets.
The St. Vincent Volunteer Fire Brigade.
The St. Vincent Legion of the British
Empire Service League, the Boy Scouts
and the Girl Guides have been invited

Reference is made to Government
Notice No. 256 of 26th May, 1950, in
which the Villa reach has been declared
a Government aerodrome. By virtue of
that notice the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1 of 1950 (The Aerodromes (Pro-
tection) Ordinance) now apply.
Owners of boats and other craft
desiring to use this area should apply
to Government Office for a permit
allowing them to do so under section
4 (1) of Ordinance No. I of 1950. Ap-
plicants should stcte the precise reasons
for their request.

With reference to the Prices Control
(Anendment No. 16) Notice gazetted
oh T' -s.:.' 23rd May 1950 it will be.
observed that the prices of petrol and
kerosene have been revised upwards by
2 cents per gallon for gasolene and
1 ceats per gallon in respect of kero-
sene. The reasons given in the appli-.
cations by the Petroleum Companies
for the recent increases are the increas-
ed .basic costs and charges, and increased
refinery cost of the products and the
cost of cases.

1. Short title. These Regulations may be cii:ed as the Post Office
(Amendment No. 3) Regulations, 1950, and shall be read L3 one with the Post Office
Regulations, 1938, (hereinafter referred to as the principal Regulations) and all
amendments thereto.

2. Amendment of Table B to Principal Regulations. Table B to
the principal Regulations as replaced by the Post Office (Amendment No. 2)
Regulations, 1950, (S.R. & O. 1950, No. 40) is hereby amended by deleting the
following items :

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section 2 of the Bank Holidays Ordinance, Cap. 161, it is enacted
that the Birthday of the reigning sovereign and Corpus Christi shall be observed
as Bank Holidays throughout the Colony :
AND WHEREAS His Majesty the King had declared that the 8th day of June in
each year should be set apart for the celebration of his birthday :
AND WHEREAS the festival of Corpus Christi this year is to be observed as a
Bank Holiday on the 8th day of June :

AND WHEREAS His Majesty the King has been pleased to approve that his
birthday shall be celebrated on the 9th day of June, 1950, instead of the 8th day
of June, 1950 :
AND WHEREAS by section 7 of the Bank Holidays Ordinance, Cap. 161, it is
enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council from time to time, by
Proclamation in the Gazette, to appoint a special day to be observed as a Bank
Holiday throughout the Colony:
Now TI-EREFORE I do, with the advice of the Executive Council, and pursuant
to the authority in me vested by the said Ordinance, hereby appoint Friday, the
9th day of June, 1950, to be observed as a Bank Holiday throughout the Colony.
GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the Island of Saint Vincent at
the Government Office in the said Island this 27th day of May in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifty and in the
Fourteenth Year of the Reign of His Majesty KING GEORGE THE
SIXTH.
