CounciL OF tHE PRESIDENCY.
BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS.
A PROCLAMATION.

Governor.
WHEREAS it is provided by section 25 (1) of the Montserrat
Constitution and Elections Ordinance, 1952, as amended, that the
Governor may at any time, by proclamation, summon, prorogue or
dissolve the Legislative Council of the Presidency of Montserrat:
AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said Council should be
summoned:
NOW, THEREFORE, I do by this my proclamation summon the
Legislative Council of the Presidency of Montserrat to meet in the
Legislative Council Chamber in the Town of Plymouth in the Presidency
aforesaid at 10 o'clock in the forenoon on Wednesday the 23rd day of
March, 1955, for the despatch of public business,
AND the Members of the said Council and all other Her Majesty’s
Officers and loving subjects in the said Presidency and all those whom it
may concern are hereby required to take due notice hereof and to give
their ready obedience accordingly.
GIVEN at the Government House, Antigua, this 21st day
of March, 1955, and in the fourth year of Her
Majesty’s reign.

THE LEGISLATIVE CoUNCIL OF THE PRESIDENCY.
BY THE ACTING COMMISSIONER OF THE PRESIDENCY
OF MONTSERRAT.
A PROCLAMATION
Atian Loutsy,
Acting Commissioner.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 25 (1) of the
Montserrat Constitution and Elections Ordinance, 1952, the Governor by
roclamation dated the 21st day of March, 1955, has summoned the
Legislative Council of the Presidency of Montserrat to meet on _ the 23rd
day of March, 1955:
AND WHEREAS it is provided by section 18 of the said Ordi-
nance that the sessions of the said Council shall be held at such times
and places as the Commissioner shall from time to time by proclamation
appoint:
AND WHEREAS it is expedient that a session of the said
Council should now be held:
NOW, THEREFORE, I do by this my proclamation hereby
appoint that a session of the Legislative Council of the Presidency of
Montserrat shall be held and that the first meeting thereof shall com-
mence with a sitting of the Council at the Council Chamber in the town
of Plymouth, in the Presidency aforesaid at 10 o’clock in the forenoon
on Wednesday the 23rd day of March, 1955, for the despatch of public
business.
AND the Members of the said Council and all other Her Majesty’s
Officers and loving subjects in the said Presidency and all those whom it
may concern are hereby required to take due notice hereof and to give
their ready obedience accordingly.
GIVEN at the Commissioner's ( Mifice, at Plymouth,
Montserrat, this 21st day of March, 1955, and in the
fourth year of Her Majesty’s reign.

It is hereby notified for general information that His Excellency the
Governor, has, by virtue of the powers conferred on him by Sections
5 (1) and (6) of the Montserrat Constitution and Elections Ordinance,
No. 1 of 1952, been pleased to appoint:—
(a) Mr. A. F. L. Loutsy and Mr. O. E. Henry to be official
members,
(6) Mr. A. W. GRrFrIn, O.B.E., and Mr. M. 8. Oszorne to be
nominated members,
of the newly constituted Legislative Council of the Presidency of
Montserrat.
