DANGEROUS DRUGS.
THE DANGEROUS DRUGS ORDER, 1950, MADE BY THE GOVERNOR IN
COUNCIL UNDER SECTION 14 (2) OF THE DANGEROUS DRUGS
ACT, 1937 (L.I., No. 23 OF 1937.)

1. Short Title, This Order may be cited as the Dangerous
Drugs Order, 1950.
2. Addition to List of Dangerous Drugs. Part V. of
the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1937, (L.I. No. 23 of 1937) (which re-
lates to the control of certain drugs productive or likely to be pro-
ductive, if improperly used, of ill-effects analogous to those pro-
duced by morphine or cocaine) shall apply to the following :--
(1) ALPHAPRODINE (0 ( -4-Propionoxy-4-phenyl-j:
3-dimethyl-4-piperindine), its salts and any prepare.
tion, admixture, extract or other substance contain-
ing any proportion of alphaprodine
(2) AMIDONE (6-Dimethylamino-4:4-diphenylheptan-
3-oze), its salts and any preparation, admixture,
extract or other substance containing any proportion
of amidone.
(3) BETAPRODINE (B-4-Propionoxy-4 phenyl 1: 3-
dimethyl-4- piperidine), its salts and any preparation,
admixture, extract or other substance containing
any proportion of betaprodine.
(4) HYDROXYPETHIDINE (Ethyl 4-m-hydroxyphen.
yl-1-methylpiperidine-4-carboxylate), its salts and
any preparation, admixture, extract or other sub-
stance containing any proportion of hydroxypethi-
dine.
(5) ISOAMIDONE (6-Dimethylamino-4: 4-diphenyl-5-
methylhexan-3-one), its salts and any preparation,
admixture, extract or other substance containing
any proportion of isoamidone.
(6) KETOBEMIDONE (4 Propionyl 4- m hydroxy-
phenyl-1-methylpiperidine), its salts and any pre-
paration, admixture, extract or other substance con-
taining any proportion of ketobemidone.
(7) METHADOL (6-Dimethylamino-4: 4-diphenylhep-
tan-3-ol), its salts and any preparation, admixture,
extract or other substance containing any proportion
of methadol.
(8) METHADYL acetate (6-Dimethylamino-4: 4-dip-
T)enyl-3-heptyl acetate), its salts and any prepara-
tion, admixture, extract-or other substance contain-
ing any proportion of methadyl acetate.
(9) PHENADOXONE (6-Morpholino-4: 4-diphenylhep-
tan-3-one), its salts and any preparation, admixture,
extract or other substance containing any proportion
of phenadoxone.
(10) METHYLDIHYDROMORPHINONE (corn m n ly
known as Meto pon), its salts and any preparation,
admixture, extract or other substance containing any
proportion of methyldihydromorphinone.
3. Revocation. The Dangerous Drugs Order, 1948, S. R.
& 0. 1948, No. 21, is hereby revoked.
